Biography

Anastasia Katrinya Sielski is an artist from Pequannock, New Jersey in the United States of America. She creates paintings with mostly acrylic, oil, and watercolor mediums. Her style honors the Pre-Modern Art influences of the Classical, Baroque, and Romantic eras of history while embracing the innovation of Impressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism as a modern artist.

As a young artist, Anastasia Katrinya began formal painting instruction at the age of four under the patient mentorship of Michael Malzone, a professional artist and art educator from Wayne, NJ. Over the last 10 years, Anastasia has featured her art in Malzone’s Creators Workshop art studio for the annual art show. She has also worked as an assistant teacher for the Creators Workshop Summer Art Camp. Michael Malzone and the Creators Workshop continues to be Anastasia’s main art studio space.

In 2025, Anastasia Katrinya had an art-filled trip to Paris in order to immerse herself in the works she has admired her whole life. It is in Paris where she had the joy of painting in watercolor en plein air alongside Edwige Mitterrand Delahaye in front of the Eiffel Tower. That is the featured painting of this website’s Home page.

In 2024, Anastasia Katrinya pursued instruction in oil at the Ridgewood Art Institute under the mentorship of Bonnie McGown. She also expanded into oil painting for landscapes under Laura Paray and continues to develop her skills. She’s been the recipient of the North Light Award in 2024 through their annual art show.

Anastasia Katrinya had her first independent non-student art show on December 16, 2023 at the age of 12 at the West Orange Arts Center in West Orange, New Jersey.

Since 2021, Ana has volunteered her time on and off for the local art community, supporting events, helping to clean art spaces, and providing photography and social media support at different art galleries and art spaces in New Jersey.
